You Are On An Adventure!

Yes that’s right! You are on an adventure.

Life is for the living. We are here to live life fully, doing what we love, our way. It is an adventure. It is a process. It is both. And like every meaningful adventure, there are signs, signals, and directions along the way.

The map that leads us is a compilation of the expressions of each of our five bodies of consciousness: the physical body, the emotional body, the mental body, the spiritual body, and the consciousness that is you. Each one speaks. Each one gives information. Each one helps us understand where we are and what may be asking for our attention.

Now the next question is: can you read the symbols that show you the way?

They are all around you. But you have to be aware of your tools.

One of those tools is the physical body. The body is a fine-tuned instrument through which you recognize and acknowledge your intuition — your GPS for your life. That means the body is a major component in decoding and understanding life. So the body is not separate from the journey. It is part of how the journey is understood.

The map needs tending and attention. Without it, there is no adventure. No vehicle. No roadmap.

The physical body works in conjunction with the other bodies of consciousness, yet it may be the most important in a very practical way because it helps us navigate and get around in the world. It is the ride of our consciousness. And if the body is the ride of our consciousness, then caring for it becomes part of honoring the adventure itself.

Therefore, we have to take care of the body. We have to learn how to make it run optimally as the model that suits us perfectly.

So we start by paying attention to the body, by listening to the body and finding our baseline. This takes time and attention. The body will talk to you. It has always been talking. However, the question is how much do you listen, and how wise are you at understanding what is being shared?

This takes focus that is physically, mentally, and emotionally based. The body has a language that you have to decipher. And you can. Just start slowly. You will begin to have the complete picture when you figure out how all the pieces fit and then feel you have it right.

The answer begins with meditation and stillness.

This is how you listen to the body and start to feel its way of communicating with you. In stillness, you begin to notice what is happening beneath the noise. You begin to feel where there is ease, where there is tension, where there is heaviness, where there is energy, where there is resistance, where something feels out of sort or out of place and where there may be a quiet knowing.

And here is the beautiful part.

You will start to understand what it is telling you. Not all at once. Not by forcing it. But by becoming still enough, present enough, and patient enough to listen.

So we start with meditation.

Meditation does not have to be complicated. You do not have to do it perfectly. You do not have to empty your mind. You are simply creating a quiet space where you can begin to listen.

Find a comfortable place to sit. Let your feet rest on the floor. Let your hands rest easily in your lap. Close your eyes, or soften your gaze. Take a slow breath in. Then gently release it. Do that a few times, allowing the breath to become natural and easy.

Now bring your attention to your body. Do not try to change anything at first. Just notice. Notice your feet, your legs, your back, your shoulders, your chest, your stomach, your jaw, and your hands.

Ask yourself gently: What do I feel? Where do I feel ease? Where do I feel tension? Where do I feel heaviness? Where do I feel energy? Where do I feel quiet?

There is no need to judge what you notice. You are not looking for something wrong. You are learning how your body speaks. You may notice a sensation, a feeling, a word, an image, a memory, or simply a place in the body that wants your attention.

Stay with it gently. Breathe. Listen. Let the body share what it is ready to share.

You may only sit for three to five minutes in the beginning, and that is enough. The practice is not about forcing an answer. It is about beginning a relationship.

Over time, through meditation and stillness, you begin to recognize the language of your own body. You begin to understand what it feels like when something is aligned, when something needs care, when something is asking for rest, and when something within you is guiding you forward.

And here is the beautiful part.

You will start to understand what it is telling you.

And so our journey begins.

Gentle Invitation

This week, allow yourself to become a little more curious about the way life is speaking to you.

Not everything arrives as a clear answer. Sometimes guidance comes through a feeling, a pause, a physical sensation, a repeated thought, a quiet knowing, or a moment when something inside you says, “Pay attention.”

Begin gently.

Notice the signals. Notice the symbols. Notice what your body may be sharing. Let yourself become more aware of the tools you already have for reading the map of your own life.

You do not have to understand everything at once.

Just begin listening.

Hope to see you there! At the least I hope you will take your first steps!

Many Blessings,
