One of the Most Powerful Truths in the Creative Process
ARMCHAIR CONVERSATIONS with Deb Foggio
Intuitive Leadership Reflections
What is unfolding beneath the surface is often more important than what we see.
Earlier this month I shared that we would spend the next few weeks exploring one of the most powerful truths in the Creative Process.
It is a simple truth, but one that becomes especially meaningful when life feels uncertain:
God is good, and only good.
Sometimes the most important spiritual truths are the simplest ones — and also the hardest to hold onto when life becomes uncertain.
It sounds straightforward when things in our lives are moving smoothly. But when the world feels unsettled… when headlines grow heavier… when situations around us appear to move in the wrong direction… this truth can begin to feel harder to trust.
And yet it is precisely in those moments that the principle becomes most important — not as a way of ignoring reality, but as a way of remaining steady within it.
Because learning to hold to truth even while appearances fluctuate is one of the great disciplines of the Creative Process.
Most people think faith means convincing themselves that everything is fine.
But that is not the kind of faith the spiritual teachers were pointing toward.
Faith is not pretending.
Faith is the quiet strength that allows us to remember that what we see in any given moment is rarely the full story.
Life is always moving.
The unseen is always unfolding.
And the Creative Process is constantly at work beneath the surface of appearances.
Think about the early days of spring in the northern states.
You walk outside and the ground is still frozen in places. The trees are bare. The air carries that last bite of winter. If you looked only at the surface, you might assume nothing is happening yet.
But beneath the soil, life is already moving.
Roots are stirring.
Seeds that have been waiting quietly through the winter are beginning their unseen work. The transformation has already started — even though your eyes cannot yet confirm it.
Nature never doubts this process. Spring unfolds whether we see it yet or not.
The Creative Process in our own lives works much the same way.
What we see in any given moment is rarely the full story of what is unfolding.
This is why the first spiritual law — God is good, and only good — is not meant to be a comforting slogan.
It is meant to be a stabilizing truth.
When appearances shift, when circumstances become confusing, when life seems to move in directions we did not expect, this principle reminds us of something essential:
What is unfolding beneath the surface is often more important than what we see.
Over the next four weeks, we’ll explore how this truth operates within the Creative Process.
How do we remain grounded in truth without falling into denial or “rose-colored glasses” thinking?
How do we keep ourselves stabilized even when appearances feel discouraging?
And how do we learn to trust that something meaningful may be unfolding even when we cannot yet see the full picture?
Because the real power of spiritual truth is not found in easy moments.
It is found in the quiet strength that allows us to remain steady while life reorganizes itself.
And remembering that what is unfolding beneath the surface is often more important than what we see can become one of the most stabilizing truths we carry.
Gentle Invitation
This week, notice where appearances try to persuade you that things are not moving in a positive direction.
Instead of reacting immediately, pause and ask yourself:
What might be unfolding here that I cannot yet see?
Sometimes that simple shift in perspective is enough to restore steadiness and clarity.
A Quiet Question for the Week
Where in your life right now might appearances be persuading you that things are not moving in the right direction?
And what changes in your perspective if you remember that what is unfolding beneath the surface may be more important than what you see?
Sometimes the shift in perspective is the beginning of the shift in experience.
A Small Invitation
If this reflection stirred a thought for you, I would love to hear it.
You can simply hit reply and share one sentence:
Where in your life right now do you sense that something good may be unfolding beneath the surface?
I read every response.
Sometimes the most meaningful conversations begin that way.
LifePath Readings — Continuing the Conversation
If this reflection stirred something personal for you — questions about direction, responsibility, or your next right step — a LifePath Reading is a place where we slow the noise and listen carefully.
These sessions are not only predictive.
They are clarifying.
Together we enter observer mode. We separate what belongs to the world from what belongs to you. And we listen for the quiet guidance of your inner authority.
Sometimes the most stabilizing thing we can receive is confirmation of what is already true inside us.
Soul Essence Evolving — Systemic Constellations
March 27 | 7–10 PM
One of the things that makes the Creative Process so fascinating is that much of what shapes our lives is happening beneath the surface.
Just as seeds grow unseen beneath the soil, many of the patterns influencing our decisions, relationships, and opportunities exist outside our immediate awareness.
Sometimes what lies beneath the surface isn’t just circumstance — it can also be hidden dynamics within our personal or family systems.
This is one of the reasons I value the work of Systemic Constellations so much.
During these evenings together, we explore the deeper systems that influence our lives — family dynamics, inherited patterns, unconscious loyalties, and the energetic fields we participate in without even realizing it.
What often emerges is clarity.
Things that once felt confusing begin to make sense.
New perspectives appear.
And people often find themselves able to move forward with greater freedom and coherence.
If the idea that something important may be unfolding beneath the surface resonates with you, this work can be a profound experience.

Closing Reflection
When life appears uncertain, I remind myself of something simple.
I can stay present in this moment, knowing I cannot stand in everyone else’s sandbox. I am responsible for my own.
What is mine to do, I will do.
I will follow the guidance of my heart and stretch into what love asks of me — even when it feels unfamiliar, even when it feels uncomfortable. New action often does.
I choose to keep my thoughts and actions aligned with love, trusting that what is born from that alignment serves my good and the good of all.
And even when I cannot see the full design, I trust that everything is moving toward good.
Belief becomes faith.
Faith becomes substance.
And substance becomes life.
Closing Mantra
Love is my state.
Faith guides my action.
Good is unfolding.
