Creating More of What Your Want
Commitment Isn't About Chasing. It Is An Act of Love Toward Yourself!
Most of us are feeling some version of the same thing right now. The details may be different, and certainly the degree of pressure is different, but we are all looking at what it costs to live, what it takes to maintain our lives, and what it means to feel secure.
We are trying to make money stretch. We are looking at grocery bills, household expenses, business income, unexpected costs, retirement concerns, and wondering how to create more room in our lives. And many of us are tired of feeling like we are constantly managing what we have instead of moving toward what we really want.
That experience can make us yearn for abundance. Not simply having more money, but having more of everything that takes life out of survival mode and allows us to thrive. More ease, more freedom, more choices, more peace, more joy, more support, more time to enjoy the people we love, and more room to breathe, dream, create, give, explore, and simply enjoy being alive.
That is abundance too.
It is the feeling that life is not always asking us to brace ourselves for the next thing. It is feeling supported instead of strained, spacious instead of squeezed, hopeful instead of worried, energized instead of depleted. It is being able to enjoy what we have while also feeling excited about what we are still creating.
And I believe that desire is natural. There is something within us that wants life to expand. We want to experience more of what feels good, meaningful, beautiful, fulfilling, and alive.
But there is something important here that I don't want us to miss.
Abundance is not something we are supposed to chase.
There is a very different feeling between chasing something because we are afraid there isn't enough and creating from the knowing that we are worthy of experiencing more. One feels anxious and pressured. The other feels expansive and hopeful.
One says, I have to get this or I won't be okay. The other says, I know I am worthy of a life that feels good, supported, prosperous, and full.
That is the place from which heartfelt creation begins.
We create from love rather than fear, from worthiness rather than lack, and from possibility rather than desperation. And when what we are creating genuinely comes from the heart, even the process begins to feel different. There can be excitement in it, curiosity, anticipation, joy, and even a sense of discovery.
We begin to enjoy participating in what we are creating instead of feeling as though we are fighting our way toward it.
And this is where Commitment enters.
Commitment is not gritting your teeth and forcing yourself to keep going. It is not chasing abundance. Commitment becomes an act of love toward ourselves.
It says, I know I am worthy of experiencing more of what makes my life feel good, and I am committed to participating in its creation.
That is a very different relationship with Commitment.
Our joy matters. Our peace matters. Our prosperity matters. The quality of the life we are creating matters. And because it matters, we stay engaged with it.
That doesn't mean ignoring what is happening around us. If money is tight, money is tight. If business is slower than we would like, that is what we are experiencing. If an unexpected expense shows up, we have to deal with it.
But our present circumstances do not have to determine what we are willing to continue creating.
When life is showing you less than what you want, how committed are you to continuing to create more of what you want?
That doesn't mean forcing. It doesn't mean pretending. And it certainly doesn't mean chasing.
It means staying connected to the knowing that more is possible for you. It means continuing to look for opportunity. It means remaining open to ideas, making the call, finishing the project, learning something new, following an intuitive nudge, asking a different question, or taking another step when one presents itself.
Commitment keeps us participating.
And perhaps that is one of its greatest gifts. It keeps us from allowing today's circumstances to convince us that tomorrow has already been decided.
So this week, instead of asking yourself how hard you are willing to work for abundance, I would invite you to ask something very different:
How deeply am I willing to love myself by staying committed to creating more of the life that feels good to me?
That is not chasing abundance.
That is heartfelt creation.
And there is a very big difference.
This Week’s Mantra
I am worthy of a life that feels good.
I lovingly participate in creating greater abundance, and I enjoy the process of becoming available to more.
Many Blessings with Deep Love and Gratitude,
